Interpreting Assessment: Provided for organizations utilizing in-house resources for their company’s interpreting needs. Participants’ fluency in the working languages and their knowledge of legal and ethical interpreting guidelines are assessed in order to determine if the employees are qualified to interpret on behalf of the company.
Initially screened for mastery of their working languages, only those who meet our high standards of fluency and profressionalism are invited to work as Global Arena interpreters. Our orientation seminar includes a review of the Professional Code of Ethics for Interpreters as set forth by the New Jersey Courts and recently by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. Upon completion of the orientation seminar, all interpreters are re-evaluated for their competence, professionalism and experience, in addition to their knowledge of industry-specific terminology.
To qualify for simultaneous assignments, interpreters are selected from the American Association of Language Specialists (TAALS), whose members have more than ten years of experience in simultaneous interpreting and must be recommended by a current member. An essential part of the Global Arena simultaneous interpreting package is the equipment, which provides for a “United Nations style” format.
